Introducing The Gnotes™ Method
The goal of The Gnotes™ Method is not to replace other music education methods but to supplement them. The Gnotes™ Method begins to fill the need in music education for an organized system of assumptions, principles, and procedures that aid music literacy. This is accomplished through congruent audiovisual and perceptual training using color, geometry, drawing, visual, and physical spatialization which cultivates musical-thinking, metacognition, and creativity. It is highly adaptable to different types of learners in different learning environments and develops multiple literacies simultaneously. Thus, it is an inclusive method for 21st century learners, helping students develop important 21st century skills for success in a constantly changing environment. Though geared towards music education, the method evolves with scientific and practical research across multiple disciplines, as it deems important developing skills which are interdisciplinary and life serving.
